Who are the Defendants?

On July 11, 2018, Adnan Oktar and about 200 of his friends were collected from their homes in totality, kept in police custody for eight days under harsh circumstances and then arrested. Most of them were kept detained for 1.5 years and then placed under house arrest, and about 80 remaining defendants are still in detention.

The defendants are reputable citizens, being doctors, engineers, academicians, businessmen and businesswomen, with no criminal records. They come from respectable families. They are well-educated successful people, loved and respected in their social and business lives. The charges against the defendants are not based on solid evidence, but rumors and slanderous accusations by some complainants.
